Vivek Soundararajan

Co-Lead

a. Bio: Dr Vivek Soundararajan is a Professor of Work and Equality at School of Management, University of Bath. He conducts research primarily on: 1) labour rights and 2) inequalities. He has acquired around £2.1 Million in funding from both industries and research councils for my research. His research has received awards and nominations from top academic associations, journals, and media, including Human Relations Journal Paper of the Year Award (2025), Roland Calori Prize from Organization Studies (2025), Academy of International Business Best Theory Paper Award (2023), Financial Times Top 100 Papers with Social Impact (2020). His research has been published in top academic journals such as Academy of Management Annals, Journal of Management, Journal of Management Studies, Organization Studies, Human Relations, Business Ethics Quarterly, Journal of Operations Management, Journal of World Business. square. Also, his research and interviews have appeared in BBC, AlJazeera, and Supply Management. He has been a panelist at a number of panels at conferences and events.

Kristie Neff

Co-Lead

b. Bio: Dr. Kristie Neff is an Assistant Professor of Management at the Fowler College of Business (San Diego State University). Her research examines organizations’ role in addressing pressing societal issues; specifically, her main focus is how organizations (and their leaders) shape the lived experiences of vulnerable workers. Her work appears in academic journals, including the Journal of Management, Personnel Psychology, Journal of Business Venturing, and Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, among others, and in practitioner outlets, such as MIT Sloan Management Review. Neff serves on the editorial boards for Personnel Psychology and the Journal of Business Venturing and received the 2025 SMA Ascendant Scholar Award.
